Let the junior team build the company's own event.
technique — attributed to Colja Dams
The annual VOK DAMS gathering is organized by the most successful office of the year, and it is the junior members of that hosting team who build the entire program: a full day of learning followed by a party at night. Dams and Koehler-Dams review the program and almost always say yes. The point is not approval. The point is that the people closest to the work design the experience for everyone else, which is the same logic the agency applies to client events. The assignment doubles as a development mechanism and a visible reward for the winning office.
For any organization that produces an internal annual event. Assigning it to junior staff with real authority converts an overhead obligation into a training ground and a culture signal at zero additional cost.
