Expand the breaks. Compress nothing.
technique — attributed to Sam Lippman
Most conferences treat networking as a brief interval between sessions. Lippman does the opposite: stretches breaks to forty minutes or more so that conversations can move past introductions and into real discussion. Within minutes the room reorganizes itself into clusters debating the questions that never appear on the official agenda — yet are the reason people came.
A deliberate design choice across ECEF and the Lippman Connects roundtables.
