Construction and aviation build redundancy into their human systems because the cost of a single point of failure is unacceptable. Live events often do not. A producer holds the entire operational plan in their head. A technical director is the only person who fully understands the staging sequence. A show caller coordinates every cue alone. When that person becomes unavailable, through illness, exhaustion, or simple error, the structure wobbles. The fragility is invisible until it isn't.
