Walk the room with questions, not a checklist
technique — attributed to Nicole Peck
Peck walks a venue before doors open the way a set designer assesses a scene. The agenda is a set of questions, not items: Where do people hesitate? Where do their eyes go when they enter? Are they smiling, or scanning for exits? A checklist confirms what was planned. Questions surface what is actually happening in the room.
For producers who confuse a completed checklist with a healthy room.
