Engineer fast self-identification
technique — attributed to Nicole Peck
At BizBash, Peck staged a check-in activation where attendees chose "salty" or "sweet," then carried that designation into food pairings, social cues, and entertainment touches across the show. At ITC Vegas, she renamed pavilions "neighborhoods" and assigned each one a "mayor." People want orientation. They want metaphor. They want something that makes a map feel like a place, and a stranger feel like someone with a side to be on.
For shows where attendees wander a floor plan rather than inhabit a place.
